rivalries are the most entertaining thing. i like imagining rivalries, its a thousand times more entertaining than imagining some fake romance. Most media shippers use come from stories with conflict, imagining the conscecuences of the events that happen in it and how it could fuel hatred and conflict among characters is way more stimulating that imagining them all kissing with everything being perfect and clean. Romance is only entertaining if theres drama and hatred in it.Romance in fiction is completely pointless and gratuitous to begin with, the only good story that makes a love story part of the narrative is The Odyssey.
If anything, people should be doing whatever the opposite of shipping would be (trucking?)
"These two male friends in fiction want to have AIDS spreading buttsex because I said so but don't you DARE suggest a guy should ask out his female friend.">You don't understand! These fictional characters just HAVE to date each other! You can't just have platonic relationships in media, literally EVERYTHING has to be romantic and/or sexual in some way.

They say this word for word btw"These two male friends in fiction want to have AIDS spreading buttsex because I said so but don't you DARE suggest a guy should ask out his female friend."
They want heterosexual men to fuck but if a heterosexual man develops romantic feelings for his female friend they will accuse him of being a creepy monster who only tried to become friends with the woman in the first place to have sex with her. They say this word for word btw
I think The Odyssey works because it's not just about his love for his homeland and wife, but how he's willing to travel to the ends of the earth and literal goes into Hades in order to get home.rivalries are the most entertaining thing. i like imagining rivalries, its a thousand times more entertaining than imagining some fake romance. Grow up cacaotI also can't stand Starco, it's self insert antimatter that ruined what could have been one of the most aryan cartoons of all time, and led to the obliteration of any redeeming value these two characters had. Post-S2 Star is a terrible girlfriend and Marco deserves every bit of NTR he got from her by passing up multiple potential relationships that would have actually made sense, including Jackie who was obviously being built up as a love interest, simply because the writers wanted to force their shitty marriage story into a kids cartoon that was clearly not meant to be about romance.
