July 31st, 2026: Vacation starts today. I woke up at 7:00am and then got all packed up after breakfast and coffee. I went to the convenience store to buy Benadryl due to my allergies. I got a ton of my books packed in my backpack and then got on the bus at 10:00am. The line at the station was very long due to Lollapalooza going on and some people (mostly women) were dressed like degenerates. We boarded the train and it departed on time. At 11:04am, our train was delayed due to the GPS not loading, I spotted the guy in the seat across the aisle from me watching ShoeOnHead. At 11:36am, I had my ticket scanned by a guy named Allen scanned my ticket. I browsed my computer a bit and wrote some more, doing some more cleanup from my opsec failure. I eventually got off the train and negotiated with my dad on where to pick me up as he told me to walk to Clinton and Monroe but he was actually parked halfway between that and the street to the south. We started driving south to Michigan and along the way after the car swap, we stopped at Tacos El Rey. We both got the 3 taco deal as mine was grilled cactus (the weirdest item on the menu), shrimp, and a ground beef taco. I loved it and would go again, but making sure to park on the side of the street next to the taco shop so I don’t have to cross 4 lanes of cars without any walk lights. We got to the place in Michigan at roughly 5:40pm. I went inside to say hi to my cousins, 6ie, 7th Day Adventist cousin, and their mom Nurse aunt. I sat down and had something to drink. 7th Day Adventist cousin talked with us about his work in the military as an officer with some training stuff he had to do and him being a chaplain, I remember my mom said that he started off packing parachutes for the air force. 7th Day Adventist cousin mentioned that I should look into using usajobs to find a job in the IT field as I told him I got laid off May 29th earlier this year. Eventually my mom arrived at 7:00pm and I greeted her. The family gossiped a bit more like my mom mentioned that her dad had a problem with Beer Aunt taking a class on world religions while he also had a problem with Nurse aunt taking gym class because when he was in high school, if you were on a varsity sports team, gym class wasn’t required but then it was a Michigan requirement. A bit later, 7th Day Adventist cousin recommend me that I apply for a job at the department of Homeland Security, which he described when he spoke:
“It’s basically a less gay FBI.”
Which I found funny. My mom brought up that Glen Hansard died on July 29th in a car crash so we’d be watching some Glen Hansard movies. While talking about the Avett Brothers and my hatred for The Lumineers at 8:14pm, Nurse aunt replied:
“What!? I love The Lumineers, I knew them before they were famous!”
Ok. At 8:53pm, 7th Day Adventist cousin got 100 over 58 on his blood pressure test that was powered by batteries but he didn’t do it properly. I did it this time with my right arm supported and sitting down on the couch, legs not crossed. I got 104 over 62 with a pulse of 74 despite my mom complaining that all I eat is ramen. We started with The Commitments and I loved it, I think the cutest of the 3 backing vocals in the fictional soul band was Natalie Murphy (played by Maria Doyle) and I loved the music they played. Once the film was done, I went to shower and blogpost very late at night.

Song of the Day: The Dark End of the Street - James Carr (1967)

August 1st, 2026: Saturday today, I woke up covered in sweat as the AC unit upstairs wasn’t plugged into the window and was just spewing hot air into the room, I tried to get it in but the piece that goes in the window wouldn’t hold the round tube. I went downstairs for breakfast and had cereal. Nurse aunt was up a bit later and I told her about the AC issue to which she blamed on Photography aunt taking out the AC when she moved out to Ireland. I tried to help Nurse aunt to set the AC up again but the tube wouldn’t thread in until I got it. I went downstairs and then more people were up like 6ie and my mom, so the 4 of us went on a walk at 9:30am all the way to my grandpa’s sister’s house with the dog. 6ie went in the lake with Levi and minnows were biting at her feet, my mom joined her and then we left.
1785726808783.jpeg
We walked back and my dad plus 7th Day Adventist cousin were awake, 7th Day Adventist cousin was dressed to go to church so my mom decided to take me and 6ie shopping. Our first stop was a farm store that sold lots of sustainably grown vegetables and fruits. In the drive there at the Michigan left turn, 6ie mentioned always taking it because her dad lives across the intersection. I sampled some wine with my mom and 6ie which led to mom buying some dry white wine along with the corn, tomatoes, blueberries, and other stuff we bought, there was one woman working there named Jeorgia. Yes, with a J. We then went to Meijer where I was dropped off with the recycling to redeem the cans for money. Most of the stuff got in but there were plenty that were rejected. I only got $6.70 worth of recyclables. I went in to the store to meet up with my mom and 6ie. At 11:51am I found this button-up with skull cherries on it. It reminded me of fAsherah’s cherry skull skirt so I texted it to her:
1785726808852.jpeg
She never replied. Also there was the liquor aisle which wasn’t locked behind a screen which I needed to delight in.
1785726808948.jpeg 1785726809015.jpeg
Last stop was Aldi’s, where the can recycled was so bad it kept rejecting most of the cans sold in the store and the glass bottle was a pain to deal with. We went back home and then prepared to continue our Glen Hansard. Before it we were talking about Jäger and how him and his ex-girlfriend are now not talking but living in the same house, Jäger’s trying to get custody of their two kids and his ex is dating a guy from Kokomo who has a kid, also Jäger’s ex has a boy herself with a different guy named Ayden I only saw once in December 2023 when he was about 8. We first watched the 2007 romance film Once with Glen Hansard in it, I disliked the music in it but liked the overall romance plot was good probably because Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová dated and had a kid afterwards. Halfway through the film, we agreed to do a break because a kombucha bottle in Nurse aunt’s fridge exploded and she needed to do a deep clean and vacuum stuff out. It lasted quite a long time and we went back. I received this text from my godmother yesterday which read:

<Ciao! I'm hoping to come to [town] to see you tomorrow later afternoon. I will have to leave in the evening to drive back to detroit. Would you be available to go to the Saturday evening Mass with me in the surrounding area? Hope to see you either way
I replied to her with:
>Ok, would a 6:00pm TLM at St Anne’s Chapel in Lawton, Michigan work?
She replied with:
<Sounds good! As long as it doesn't interfere with plans your mom might have made for you. After the Amish picnic I will text you my arrival and we'll figure it out from there. Thank you for including me!
My mom told me to do a different one that was earlier and closer. So I made a change to plans but she didn’t arrive in time for it. As it was Girlfriend’s day today (and also Hippie Christmas) many people posted about their girlfriends on Instagram or reposted stories of their boyfriend, like I found out Waleran’s girlfriend’s name and also that Onyx II started dating my sister on August 1st of last year. Eventually my godmother arrived and she got me the gifts for me like the Shaqalicious gummies and some Sour candy that was a gamble between 3 normal green colors and then pickle flavored, I overheard from my mom previously about my godmother’s brother and how he had a similar ALS like genetic disease that his wife controlled him with, refusing him to let her see his sister because he might get hope that he could be cured because of something about treatments. I’m not sure if my godmother and her brother had the same disease or slightly similar ones, but we spent some time together before she had to leave, she’s very skinny and even skinnier than me. I discussed with 7th Day Adventist cousin, my mom, and my dad. There was one called Information Technology Specialist (Systems Analysis/Applications Software) which I could apply to specially because I am diagnosed with Autism. 7th Day Adventist cousin read over it a bit and then saw the catch: it closes on August 6th and it needs a college transcript, which I won’t get in on time according to 7th Day Adventist cousin. I heard my mom discuss with my dad and nurse aunt about grandma Jane having a bridezilla moment at their wedding because she did something with the sleeves for some of the dressed due to her daughter/my aunt having a scar on her arm that Jane mentioned my aunt would be insecure about apparently. My dead aunt even had to hold a bouqet of flowers in front of her dress due to the changes made. At my aunt’s wedding sometime later, she wore a sleeveless dress… my dad said to my mom about it at the time:
“Welcome to the family!”
We watched the 2018 documentary The Camino Voyage which apparently had Glen Hansard in it but actually did not. We still watched it regardless about their voyage on a traditional Irish boat from Ireland to Wales across the English channel to Brittany in France, then along the French west coast (1st year long break) then to Basque and another year long break then along Spain’s northern coast and then into Santiago de Compostela. I did my blood pressure test again and I did it on the left arm, but it was too close to the elbow so that might have screwed with it, I got 107 over 58 with a pulse of 86 bpm. We finished up the movie at roughly 9:30pm so I took a shower, and thus to the sleeping land.

August 2nd, 2026: Sunday today. I set my alarm for 8:00am yet I didn’t hear it go off so I woke up at 8:45am. I went downstairs to see my mom and 6ie eating breakfast, I got quickly dressed and asked my mom for the keys. I drove over, I encountered my first hitchhiker on the road in my life, I just drove past because I was going to stop soon. I got to St. Edward’s church in Mendon, Michigan. I got in and noticed the painting of the starry night sky above the altar with the Alpha and Omega on it., I was sitting down praying in the church I was baptized in when I noticed Norah and her boyfriend come in and sit in the pew in front of me, I asked them:
“Wait what are you doing all the way out here?”
And she responded that Norah’s boyfriend was from here and they were visiting for the weekend. Eventually the mass started late at 9:35am and it went along as normal with an old lady doing the first reading from Isaiah. There were two priests there, one of which was the priest who baptized me on December 27th, 2003. I didn’t receive the Eucharist but I prayed for a bit later then went downstairs for the donut and coffee social (which they called ‘rolls’ for some reason,) there were a few cinnamon rolls and apple strudels and I got the coffee then sat down with Norah, her boyfriend, and 5 other family members Norah’s boyfriend was here with his family and was also baptized here, his mother and his father, 2 younger sisters, and younger brother was here. After Norah and her boyfriend’s family left, I got in the car and drove around a bit to fill out SuperLocalMaps then drove back home, arriving at 11:03am. Breakfast was all out and I had some of this probiotic pomegranate juice Nurse aunt had. I charged my phone upstairs for a couple of minutes before my mom told me to come down as we would all be going on a hike to the park, my mom told me to put on shorts but I told her I didn’t have shorts and I had no issue with wearing long pants earlier today, she got mad at me for not packing shorts, I didn’t really understand but we drove to this spot to go on a hike. I drove with my mom and my dad while in 6ie’s truck was 6ie, 7th Day Adventist Cousin, and Nurse aunt. We got in and then my mom bought a park pass, I was confused because as far as I knew you didn’t usually need to pay to use public parks, but it was actually just for parking. We started on the walk around the edge trails of the park and noticed the disc golf course, 18 holes just like a standard golf course, but smaller, I wonder why they decided on 18 holes being the standard for golf courses “games” why not 20 or 16 or 22 or 10. We also had to cross mountain biking trails frequently but never got ran over by fast bikers. We found some sassafras growing near the trails and 7th Day Adventist cousin showed me that you could crush it up and it would smell like blue moon ice cream or froot loops. 7th Day Adventist cousin also warned me about the poison ivy. Talking about politics, despite my family being liberal, on the walk they all agreed that SNAP shouldn’t be allowed for sugary drinks and unhealthy food. We went around and then got back to look at the warning about ticks, especially the lone star tick (Amblyomma americanum) which my mom talked about how bad alpha-gal syndrome is with it preventing you from eating meat and most other foods. We drove back home and shortly afterwards, Programmer uncle and his wife arrived in separate cars due to needing to leave at different times. I greeted them and got dressed in swim trunks before going out on the pontoon, all of us, we went around the lake once before getting back so we could pick up Jäger and his two daughters, we also grabbed this long foam mat that would go out on the lake. 7th Day Adventist cousin and I went to grab it but he decided to re-roll it tighter so the mat would fit on the front. We hauled it out and then went out with Programmer uncle driving. Jäger’s two kids were well behaved and they were both speaking, as when I last saw the younger one in December 2023, she had just been born earlier in the month. I went out on the mat and it was quite fun, 6ie’s dog also went out into the lake to swim for the first time. While Ride Like the Wind was playing on the speaker, my mom mentioned meeting Michael MacDonald once but only briefly. We made our way over to my maternal grandfather’s sister’s house where we saw her and her son, I had drank an IPA and with all the watermelon I had eaten, I felt very sick and on the point of vomiting, lots of pressure in my stomach. I went inside and almost vomited so I wrote in the Signal groupchat at 2:24pm:
>Pray for me I drank a Pale Ale and I think I’m gonna vomit.
>Why do redditors even like that kind of beer?

The others were discussing dating apps and so I commented:

>Dating apps aren’t good but they’re practically the only way nowadays.
>😞

Loid mentioned a singles event yesterday which I couldn’t attend due to being in Michigan. His sister Yor mentioned the dance but I wanted to bring up the incident with Margaret, whom I met at one of the dances, ghosting me. But I didn’t want to come across as an incel loser whom would repel all the women in the groupchat with my whining. I went outside after feeling better from burping and talked to my mom to tell her that I was feeling better. We took the boat back and I got out and upstairs to my room. I dried off and then matched with this woman on Bumble named Kendall who was interesting, she was tall (5’11”) cute, fat, Christian, and conservative, her birthday is also May 13th, 2004. I added her on Snapchat and Instagram and we talked mostly on Snapchat, she said she wanted to go on a date with me before I left tomorrow so we agreed on 10:00pm tonight that she’d pick me up a bit out from the house. 7th Day Adventist cousin and Jäger’s 2 kids came up to hide an egg and find it, I talked with them a little bit and then they went back downstairs. Talking with Kendall more, I found from asking if her family is religious is that she occasionally goes to church but wants to be a better Christian, I told Kendall how I go to church a lot and she mentioned that she wouldn’t be accepted where I go because of her piercings and lots of arm tattoos. I told Kendall she could just wear long-sleeved dresses to church with me and she got mad and told me she’s not changing for anyone and she thought I wanted to go on the date for sex but I corrected her that I wasn’t. I went downstairs for dinner after Programmer uncle and his wife already left and we ate corn on the cob, bowtie pasta with sauce, salad, and brats. I enjoyed all the food but then went back upstairs to see on Snapchat that Kendall was ignoring me but wanted to do the date apparently. This persisted all the way until 10:00pm when I went outside waiting for her to drive near or reply, I was tired of this lying so I went back inside and then unmatched her on Bumble for not replying to me. She blocked me on Snapchat for that and also on Instagram. I got my laundry load from dad and he told me to set my alarm for 5:45pm tomorrow.

Song of the Day: Ride Like the Wind - Christopher Cross (1979)

August 3rd, 2026: Monday today. I woke up at 5:45am and then packed up to bring stuff downstairs. I got some coffee in a container but with coconut milk and little sugar, which was awful. But I drank it. We drove all the way over to Chicago, Illinois. At 6:19am, we stopped in Rolling Prairie, Indiana to go to the bathroom then get some breakfast sandwiches. At 6:22am I spotted this rack of state shotglasses:
1785904641793.jpeg

I bought the Minnesota, Virginia, and Ohio shotglasses but my dad told me to not buy so many, he did pay for them for me. We drove more and then got into Chicago. We did the car swap and took out some trash before driving into my dad’s office. I sat down and read Sharpe's Fortress but on the Signal groupchat there was some fun stuff going down with Cajetan sperging out about the government and guns with Bonaventure and Loid having to step in to get them to stop. I found the groupchat funny then someone mentioned lore about Adam II that I said I didn’t know. Zhao privately texted me some lore. Someone before I joined asked:
<Anyone have any charitable ways to respond to someone who says "Mass is Mass"?
Zhao replied with:

<"And steak is steak, yet would you eat a rotting sirloin that's been sitting in your broken fridge for five years?"
<Or perhaps tell them that a Satanic Black Mass is "technically" a valid Mass, yet celebrating or attending one is obviously a grave sacrilege that will damn his/her soul.

It was more controversial, one woman replied:
<It's fair to have conversations about reverence in the liturgy or to prefer the Traditional Latin Mass, but comparing a valid Catholic Mass to a black mass isn't accurate. A black mass is deliberately sacrilegious, whereas the Novus Ordo is still the Church's legitimate liturgy.
Zhao replied:

<The Novus Ordo was constructed in A.D. 1969 by a Freemason named Archbishop Bugnini.
Adam II replied:
<Zhao ….
The rest of the lore was Adam II asking him to delete a post. Eventually a Black woman came into my dad’s office and talked with me and my dad for a bit. One thing I remember from the conversation was about the “suicide” of Chicago Board of Education President Michael Scott Sr. in 2009 when they found him dead in a river. Another employee came in later and he said of my dad:
“He really knows how to whip his team into shape.”
As 11:00am was approaching. My dad said he had a meeting to go to so I left shortly after it started and boarded the train back. I eventually left and went to the Amtrak station, I got in and went to Chick-fil-A to buy a chicken sandwich deluxe and a cookies and cream milkshake. I waited and ate it before getting in the long line to the train, it was a full Amtrak train, I sat near the back and then got this mother to sit next to me but didn’t talk to her. I didn’t have any water so I was thirsty that at the end of the trip. I went to the bathroom and after washing my hands, I cupped said hands and drank out of them. I didn’t die from stuff in the water, I got off and noticed the line to board it was extremely long. I bought a Monster energy drink from a store and then walked to my bus and took it home. I got back quickly and then received the shower curtain inside, I set it up and texted my mom about it, it was of the New York City subway system. I wrote more in my blog. I got dressed and changed into grey dress pants, my grey suit, my white button-up, and my yellow elephant tie. The pockets on my suit were sewn together and I went on the bus down to the church. I got in and was one of the first people in line for confession, I did my penance per the younger French priest and kneeled near Bonaventure. Others there included the Omahan, Vytautas, Loid, Yor, Teddy, Adam II, Salignac, fLeJean, Cajetan, and like 10 others. The votive mass for today was for the most Holy Trinity and it was quite short, no re-reading of the epistle gospel in English, no homily, only two acolytes. After receiving communion, I prayed the Anima Christi prayer and in a footnote it would take off 300 days to 7 years off of your time in Purgatory. Yor had posted earlier that women who didn’t get asked out at a recent singles event should come here, only 6 women showed up. We prayed and got the food set up as I had 2 slices of pizza for dinner. The cooler next to the table was filled with disgusting water so Teddy and I dumped it out then propped it up to dry. I talked with one of the acolytes and Salignac. I went and talked with Adam II and Loid. I had a cup of alcoholic punch, I saw the Donkey Kong button-up guy, whom I will be calling Kong, Vytautas, another guy whom I will be calling Karleusa, and Salignac all talking. The topic shifted to chickens, which Salignac had at home, I talked about my chickens at home and Salignac liked frogs, I asked:
“Do you have a pet frog?”
She said she didn’t and I called her a fake frog fan. Eventually Kong and Vytautas left so it was mostly Karleusa talking, he mentioned working on Saturdays at his well off job, I mentioned that my previous job was at an immigration agency and I’m super opposed to immigrants now. Karelusa mentioned some Afrikaners following his meme page and even meeting a guy whose parents were from Rhodesia before Robert Mugabe destroyed the country and turned it into Zimbabwe. Salignac was clearly more focused on Karelusa but so was I, also he was speaking a lot more than both of us. Eventually I talked to Salignac a bit and found out she’s from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and she has 5 siblings. I tried talking about my dad being all grumpy the two times I took him to mass and she said she had to leave at 8:50pm. I also left to take the bus home. I found out Cara moved to this single bedroom apartment so I had this conversation with Vannie on Snapchat:

>You officially don’t have to sit in “the chair” anymore.
<what?
>You don’t get the joke?
<no
>Bro…
>Tell Cara the joke.

<no i want you to explain it to me
>Don’t you know the memes about the cuck chair?
<I do but I am very confused why I would be sitting in the cuck chair at all in this context
>The roommate.
<like I was never sitting in "the chair" in the first place😭😭
>It’s a joke.
<Im not watching cara and her roommate do anything??? wtff
>You’d be like Idubbbz but a lesbian.
>It’s a joke.

<what💀
<its a bad joke gemerson
<it makes no sense
<Cara and her roommate were never romantically or sexually involved with each other lmfao

>I know.
>That’s why it’s a joke.

She screenshotted it then sent me a snap with an Autism awareness month sticker on it.
>You’re showing this to Cara aren’t you.

>I’m Autistic and proud.
<yeah I showed it to cara
>What did she think?
<she also did not inderstand
<[replying to my autism pride] same

>Clearly she doesn’t get into online debates and calls her opponents cucks.
<if anything her roommate would've been the cuck
<but not really

>😭😭😭
>Do you disagree with Cara’s old roommate politically?

<no?
>Wow, you don’t engage in fun.
<its not about fun I just never had the opportunity to disagree with her politically
>😡
I got home and polished off my blogpost before taking a shower and going to sleep.

Song of the Day: Time to Ride - Pigeons Playing Ping Pong (2014)

August 4th, 2026: Lazy day today. I woke up at 7:00am and got out of bed to have more cereal and then the last of the french vanilla creamer in my coffee. I got on my couch and started watching more YouTube on the television. I worked on my application for the federal government job and ordered my official transcripts from college to set me back $10. I did this assessment of stuff like reasoning, ordering what the best and worst response to certain scenarios, the scenarios were cheaply animated and I noticed for some example projects, they used names of United States presidents, like 3rd president Thomas Jefferson or 11th president James K. Polk. I ate lunch –which was ramen with an egg in it– in between the 2nd and 3rd rounds of tests. I completed those tests and continued to write. Due to scheduling issues, there would be no gun certification training today. I am absolutely not socially skilled by any means so I downloaded Gleam from Instagram advertising, I remembered this anecdote about two British prime ministers: William Gladstone and Benjamin Disraeli. They’re rivals and they had dinner with this one woman who said of Gladstone:
"When I left the dining room after sitting next to Mr. Gladstone, I thought he was the cleverest man in England."
but she said of Disraeli:
"But after sitting next to Mr. Disraeli, I thought I was the cleverest woman in England."
It asked me which one I thought was more charismatic and I guessed Disraeli. I was wrong and then I got a text from Father Aquinas asking for people to help him move furniture at 7:00pm. I went to have dinner at 5:30pm which was a steak kabob with water to go with. I walked back home and then walked all the way to the new church center to arrive at 6:45pm, I encountered the one of the guys who cooked the haggis at the Robert Burns dinner and his wife plus two daughters. I hauled out a large dry-erase board to the curb with Father Aquinas so someone would pick it up. Kalifornia joined us then and as we all talked, I found out Kalifornia is from St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin while the guy’s wife was from Arkansaw, Wisconsin (They spelled it correctly). The family left and the two daughters were hesitant talking to other people. I talked with Kalifornia a bit and she told me her conversion experience was being invited to the Catholic center by Kristine during the popsicle social. We went to the old center and Father Aquinas had us tilt the bar while he nearly burned it. I heard that Kalifornia was living in this fancy neighborhood and I asked her if it was these apartments I guessed to be $1400 a month, she said the apartments and the price was correct and that her mom and dad pay for it but she pays utilities. Father Aquinas got 3 calls during the removal of the bar counter, one from Elkanah, another from Rose’s husband, and another from the Keralan man. They all came over to help haul the bar counter over while Elkanah hauled some speakers on a separate cart over. We then went back this time without Father Aquinas and worked on hauling couches over including the dog statue we had, 2 bookshelves, and lots of blankets. Rose’s husband loaded what he could in his car but the cart we had was too small and caused the rear legs of the couch to drag if I wasn’t pulling it up in a way that hurt my spine really weird. I told them to stop and then unscrewed the back 2 legs and it went much faster. Kristine is back and she was assigned to work through the utensils and other dishes with Kalifornia as Rose’s husband, the Keralan, and I had to go back and haul more stuff over. We got 2 tables while Rose’s husband and the Keralan talked a bit. As we were heading back for our final load, I talked to the Keralan about my job woes and asked him about his job. The Keralan told me he works as a materials engineer at a job he got after praying a 54 day rosary novena for the intercession of St. Mary. I hauled the cart back when we got the last 3 chairs we needed and kicked stuff out of the way. When I got back at 8:14pm, I saw none other than Naomi with this piece of linen. She looked over to me and said:
“Hi Gemerson.”
I reluctantly said hi back. I was tasked with helping Naomi with stretching the linen tight to be measured with a laser measuring tool, instead of laying it down and measuring it with a measuring tape. Come to think of it, Naomi reminds me of H. Pearl Davis in terms of looks, I didn’t really talk directly much to Naomi but I found out from her talking with the Keralan man that he is 5’6”and Naomi is taller than him but shorter than me. Naomi told Father Aquinas that the cloth he got her would be perfect length but she would be out of town for the next two weeks. She left early and then later at 9:04pm we had pizza for us to eat and I was able to get a New Glarus beer. We noticed that Elkanah had a hat which just said: ‘pants’ which he got from a band. Elkanah mentioned his brother in some context I don’t really remember. Kalifornia left after getting this cup she really liked and I made a joke about how her parents pay for her apartment. I left shortly afterwards and I saw Naomi outside her car, I had a crossing the wires moment:
“Hey Naomi, wait I mean [Naomi’s actual name].”
She didn’t reply. I saw some people watching Netflix outside on a projector. I got home and inside an then went to sleep after showering.

Song of the Day: Pants - Here Come The Mummies (2008)

August 5th, 2026: Another day of nothing to do today. I woke up and played on my Wii. I set up the wifi with a different router which gave me a new WiFi that worked with the Wii but when I went to use Retro Rewind’s online feature, it was basically useless. I tried testing the new WiFi on my phone and it took forever to load, I listened to some more music on Spotify and then got off and then got dressed a bit to go outside. As for getting to the dance on Saturday, I shot the Omahan a text asking if he could pick me up but he said he’d be heading back to Nebraska then. I then had the idea to ask Gerrardo about having him pick me up for the dance and he told me he works from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday. I showed him the time and the location and he said he could do it, I told Gerrardo that I would take the bus to his work and then he could drive me from there. I watched some more YouTube on the television, I was running low on groceries so I got dressed a bit and took off on the bus. At 1:08pm, fAsherah had finally texted me back and restarted our conversation for the day
<OMG I JUST WORE THAT THE OTHER DAY
<WHERE DID U FIND THIS . ITD BE SUCH A FIT 2GETHER

<Farewell

>I’m still alive [fAsherah full name]…
I went inside the grocery store and bought sliced provolone cheese, a gallon of 2% milk, sauerkraut, italian sausage, a 12 pack of generic root beer, frozen ravioli, sugar cookie flavored creamer, golden corn, french green beans, and some other stuff and it cost me roughly $35 total. I took a picture of some of the Dr Pepper sausages and sent them to fAsherah:
>[picture of Johnsonville Dr Pepper sausages]
>[yummers gif]

<Not For Long.........
<And this shall be the Cause.

>I tried cooking it once and the sausages exploded and set off the fire alarm.
Ignored… I took it home with all the plastic bags on my right arm and first made myself a ham and provolone sandwich for lunch and had a can of root beer. I did nothing mostly, not even apply to any jobs until it was 5:20pm when I got dressed up a little bit and then went to the church for Eucharistic adoration. It was the final men’s dinner of the summer so I made it count even if it was just another meal with chicken tenders with it and sat across from Gerrardo, Rehoboam saidhe was glad that he could host these for as long as he could. Father Malachi joined us and I ate the two tacos. Gerrardo told me that the girl he dated he went on a second date with turned out to be not Catholic but fell out of the faith. Gerrardo talked about the flirt-to-convert method which I doubted. I went in for adoration and spotted Kalifornia, Naomi, Elijah and his mom, Quinn, Quinci, Gabriel doing some singing, and a few others. I started day 1 of the 54 day rosary novena that the Keralan man recommended to me, there was a bunch of people in the catechesis class sitting in the front pews to gain experience of Eucharistic adoration. I prayed the rosary and decided to walk back home after adoration. I took a shower when I got back and continued writing until I took a shower before heading off to bed.

August 6th, 2026: I had a dream today that I had finally reconnected with Asherah but due to circumstances, I could not meet her long, wow just like real life. I hate Hollywood Jews so fucking much. I woke up and had cereal for breakfast and got coffee to go with it. I wrote some more before deciding to go to the library. In the library I spent most of my time filling out jobs that led to nowhere and applied to 8 jobs while in the library, one was so lame that I just DM’d the place on Instagram asking if they had any job openings available, it was just a restaurant. I applied for some harder stuff then I walked home at 1:00pm as I got a notification the ethernet to USB connector for the Wii had shipped. I tried it out and it truly worked and got in a few rounds of Mario Kart Retro Rewind online. I applied to the Chicago job my dad insisted that I apply to and also the baseball stadium job just because I’d think it would be a super nice place to work. I went to the laundromat after soaking my white button-up in I made some white cheddar mac and cheese for lunch and didn’t have much else to eat. I had some more root beers and then turned on YouTube on the television and watched Lavader’s video debunking some of the errors of OverSimplified’s video on the Russian revolution, like how the May 30th, 1896 Khodynka Tragedy actually had a decent response by Tsar Nicolas II to console those killed in the tragedy. Or how Father Georgy Apollonovich Gapon, while leading the people to deliver the letter asking for better working conditions to the Tsar, knew that the Tsar was gone due to a previous assassination attempt and knew that there was a lockdown in St Petersburg yet as he was affiliated with the secret police Okhrana and wanted a revolution to start leading to Bloody Sunday happening on January 22nd, 1905, or how OverSimplified severely exaggerated the harshness and the length of the rations shortage of Russia in World War I, this shitshow between two leaders who thought each was betraying the other, and this fiasco where the majority that the Bolsheviks were opposed to was acting up and it made Lavader somehow defend Vladimir Lenin. I took this picture at 6:19pm:

I watched some more videos and then finished up. As for the job the agency said they were going to place me with, they went with a candidate more experienced in the IT field than I was. I got 7th Day Adventist’s and in it he listed under part time work that he helped with construction for my parent’s failed company (which could hardly be called a company) and for this nearby tobacco farmer’s place in the summers of 2000, 2001, and 2002, but for 2002, he joined the US Air Force in July 2002. Also he went to Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. I took a shower later and then I completed day 2 of the 54 day novena at 10:07pm and I was really getting the hang of it, even folding my clothes during it and keeping track by staying the Hail Mary number before the start of said Hail Mary.

August 7th, 2026: Friday, and also Father Aquinas’ 39th birthday today. I woke up and had cereal and then two cups of coffee, one each with the two different coffee creamers I had. I ripped my right sock on what I think is a phillips head bit for a drill stuck in the wall, painted over. I got on Mario Kart Retro Revolution to game some more and I kept playing until I got to play on GCN Wario Colosseum. I don’t get why they abbreviate the Nintendo Game Cube to GCN. It took a long time for the course to be selected and I didn’t even win it. Sad, I walked to my old college’s library today to check it out, while walking around, I spotted a table for the place Asherah works at but didn’t see the table set up yet, just the sign for it. I got to the library and downloaded another dating app called HOLY. On the dating app I matched with this super short (4’11”) girl from Pewaukee, Wisconsin who was also pretty chubby. She is a “nondenominational evangelical” which was the most common person I’d find on the app followed by Pentecostals, Baptists, Lutherans, Others, then Catholics. I got her Instagram and we messaged back and forth as I was able to get her to come to the dance tomorrow at 7:00pm. When I walked back, I went upstairs to a narrow window 2 stories up to see if Asherah was at the booth but it was an employee I’ve never seen before. I walked back home and I had leftover rice and beef for lunch and watched some more YouTube on the television. I had to go to a talk at the house that Cliffe managed and I took the bus down at 4:30pm and got there at 5:10pm. I saw a low amount of people on the bus as I took it to the place. When I got there, I was greeted by Sobieski first and went upstairs to see Jeremiah and Pete cooking some shrimp and rice for the dinner and as Sobieski showed me around, he took me to the basement and showed me the excessive amount of food even though at least 10 people live here. I saw downstairs this dirty door so I grabbed some bleach spray and a roll of paper towels to wipe down one side. At 5:22pm Enosh texted me and we had this conversation:
<A friend and I are gonna be in [city] tomorrow and Saturday. Would you like to meet up and hang out?
>What time will you be here?
<We're arriving late tonight. Will probably leave around noon on Sunday.
>Ok, I can do something with you guys
<Sounds good! We’ll be at the [south side] farmers market in an hour or so and will probably be hanging out downtown most of the day. We’re also going to the Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight if you can join us.
I went up and out to set up tables with Sobieski in this storage underneath a garage. As I sat down with the chairs I set up, I was introduced to a resident whom I will be calling Kohen. I asked Kohen where he was from and he told me:
“I’m a refugee from Illinois.”
I asked if he was from Chicago, Illinois but actually from Spring Grove, Illinois right on the border with the state of Wisconsin. I talked more about similar living situations and then as we peeled the shells on the shrimp we got. We ate and Sobieski was going to sleep early because he wasn’t feeling good. I played a game where you throw wooden sticks at brick shaped wood and then knocked down a king piece to win, but you had to do 10 pushups if both people on your team failed to knock down any of the opponent’s stuff (I did 20 pushups total). We started the campfire a bit later and then I talked with Myra a bit and talked with him about Cardinal Harvey’s visit, even sharing the recording of his homily I got to him. Here’s the entire thing of Cliffe’s testimony I recorded:
“So, I know, so next week, a retired priest is coming. You have to be a little worried about the retired priest. But, he's a pretty solid guy. And, yeah, today is just like carrying your testimony. And, that's something that a lot of times in, like, so there's certain people that, like, they just are like, tell me the hard facts. Like, tell me what it is. But, there's a lot of people that, like, they don't really care that much to just be like, yeah, I want to know the truth. Like, so testimony is a really good way of just, like, you can share your story, what God has done, and then connect it back to the objective reality of the gospel, why Christ came. And, so, yeah, that's something that just today, I wanted to share that a little bit of just my own, just what I would call just, like, continual conversion in the different ways in which God has been a part of my life. And, I think some things to kind of think about throughout, I would just, thinking of, like, where God has, like, when you're preparing your own testimony, sharing with others, because the world doesn't really have much of a, like, what do you do with the crosses when bad things happen? But, then, like, sharing the resurrections after the crosses. What has God done in the midst of that? So, I think that's a really important thing to keep sight of. And, then, also, just in your own life, sharing, like, what it looks like to put God first, and then to continue to do so. Because there can be times where we think we put God first, and then we find out that we've actually put ourselves first, or something. So, I just wanted to share a little bit about that. And, so, I'd say, so I can go ahead and begin. But, in my own life, I grew up in a very nominally Catholic family. My parents, like, they had me baptized as a baby. And I received First Communion in second grade, but I never went to confession before First Communion. And, then, we fell away from the faith after we moved to Florida, right after second grade. So, pretty much third grade onward was not practicing the faith. And my time, especially in middle school, was a very difficult time for me. And it was, like, a time that my faith was not important to me in my life at all. And, so, I basically, I mean, I was very into sports and athletics and stuff. That was kind of what kept me going. And I was, yeah, I did a lot of sports. That was basically weekends consisted of sports, just travel sports, different things. And when it came to faith, it was one of those things that my parents, they still were like, this would be a good thing to do on occasion. So, they would try to bring us to church on occasion. And I was just like, this is boring. I don't want anything to do with this. Like, I don't care about this. And I would pretty much actively fight them on it. So, then, pretty much by the time I was in middle school, I think they pretty much, like, gave up on taking us to church themselves as well. I definitely feel that was something that's been interesting over the course of my faith journey. It's kind of where I feel like early on, I was kind of one of the ones that was like, my parents just like, I was kind of drawing them away from the church. And then once I had my conversion, like, helping to bring them back too. But, yeah, in middle school, that was a pretty rough time for me. I had, like, a lot of people, like, I would say in certain areas, like, when it came to, like, sports and stuff, and just, like, jealousy. But then, like, bullying because of it. And I wasn't, like, the one that was going to, like, fight back or anything. And so, I just kind of, like, middle school, I think, just kind of let myself be taken advantage of. And it was, yeah, just a bad experience all around. I know in middle school, I also just got really just what I would call, like, trapped in a lot of, like, habitual sin. That, yeah, it took a long time to get over. And that was something that, at that point, like, my parents, they were always, when they raised me, they were always telling me, be a good person, do the right thing, and make the world a better place. That was pretty much the framework that they gave me. But they didn't really give me all that much to fill that in, so I was a very confused child. And just, we all know the state of the world now, and it's just, like, similar before. It's, like, if you don't have that, like, rock-solid foundation of Christ, like, you're going to go the ways of the world. And I got stuck in a lot of different things just that were very much keeping me away from God. I would say the biggest thing was, like, that took a while to get over was, like, pornography use. That was something that, like, I first in middle school found that, and then it became a regular habit. And then, because I was at public school until high school, well, it was basically the experience of middle school and how negative that was, that my parents were like, we're not going to send you to the public school, we're going to send you to, like, a Catholic school..."

August 7th, 2026 (Continued): "...And that was a great blessing that I, I remember I applied to two Catholic high schools in Tampa, Florida, is where I grew up. And I first got into the Jesuit high school, which I knew was a very good high school. I was, yeah, not sure of, like, how Catholic it was. It was a very Catholic, Catholic high school. But I think just the fact of, like, that it was a really good school, it was well known, and I knew I was going to get a good education and be able to go to college, all the things. So it was a very natural way I was looking at, like, that, oh, this would be a good thing for me. So I ended up going there. And that school, definitely one of the, yeah, faith was incorporated in every part of the life there. But even with that, my first year, I was not too interested in the faith, and I pretty much just kind of, when it came to theology class, I was just, like, trying to do the bare minimum, not really paying much attention. And then the second semester, I, or sorry, the first semester, I got a C in the class. It was my first ever C grade I'd ever gotten. And so then after that, I was like, man, like, I really need to, like, start paying attention and learning more about what this is just purely for, like, grade purposes of doing better in classes. But then the second semester, which this really helped me, where this, the thing that my parents were always telling me about, like, be a good person, do the right thing, make the world a better place. And I didn't have, like, the framework and the building that out. But then the second semester of that class, the introduction to Catholicism, we were actually talking about Catholic social teaching. And so I started seeing, like, how the Catholic Church interacts with the world, and just how, yeah, like, the different principles of Catholic social teaching are really striking me, where it's like, wow, I could see that if people were living out what this faith teaches, they would definitely be a much better person. They'd be helping to make the world a better place, and I'd be able to do the right thing. And so that started kind of, that started clicking to me. It's like, okay, like, this is a good thing. And then that semester as well, the priest that was teaching the theology class, he encouraged all of the students that were in the class to go to confession during Lent. And I had never gone to confession before, and I told him that. And he kind of, like, walked me through what to do and gave me an examination of conscience. And I remember that examination of conscience and just looking through all of these sins that I was doing and the things that I was stuck in and just thinking, it's like, there's no way. Like, I don't know how I could stop doing any of this. And then I decided, though, like, still, like, I was going to try. And so I, because I knew that it's like, this is the right thing to do. And I've been living in such a way that I've been consistently choosing the wrong thing. And so I went to confession for the first time and just, like, sharing all of these sins and then just really, the words of absolution that first time just, like, really stuck with me. And then the words of the priest as you're, like, leaving where he said, your sins are forgiven, go in peace. And I just, like, I went away from confession and I was just, like, in awe. I'm like, wow, like, God loves me so much. He would forgive me of all of these sins and create a way forward. And I was just thinking in kind of a more, I'd say, this early stage in my life was still thinking very much in human ways. But I was thinking, yeah, if I told my best friend that I did all of these sins and I'm sorry, like, he'd be like, dude, like, anyone that would do all of those things to me is not a friend of mine. But God would forgive. And so that, like, his mercy, his forgiveness there, that really, I'd say, characterizes the rest of my, like, faith journey of just, like, always going back to that how much God loves me, that he would create a way forward. And I think this is one of the scriptures in 1 John talks about [1 John 4:19]...”
☛19 We love because he first loved us.
“...And so that was the experience in my own life where I was able to experience God's love and then that the love that comes forth from that. I really relate as well. Luke chapter 7 is the pardoning of the sinful woman. And because of this, like, how aware I was of my own sinfulness, my own fallenness, the things that I was stuck in. But then God would forgive me. He tells in this gospel passage this story of two people whose debts are forgiven, one very large debt and one small debt. And he asked the Pharisee which one would be more, like, would love more, which one would be more thankful. And the Pharisee says the one whose larger debt is forgiven. And then Jesus points to the woman who was wiping his feet with her hair in tears and says her many sins have been forgiven so she's loved greatly. And to the Pharisee, like, he didn't see his own sins. He thought he was perfect. And so he didn't think that, like, he was forgiven much so he didn't love much. And so in our own lives, like, we can often have this where it's just, like, we need to see our own poverty. And so, like, seeing our own poverty where it's, like, if we think that we're rich, if we think we don't need God's forgiveness, then it's going to be very difficult for us to love greatly, as the gospel says. And so I went to confession after that. I started, like, trying to come back to the church a little bit, but I still was not very well formed in the faith and just Sunday Mass hadn't really started going much yet. My family was not too interested in going to the church at that point. But then later, my sophomore year, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. And with that, basically I had to give myself shots of insulin every day in order to manage my blood sugars. And also exercise is, like, so much more important, that exercise helps to regulate my blood sugar. So with that, I started doing a lot more exercise and just, like, I would go for runs. But I wasn't a very good distance runner, and I was always, like, a sprinter. And so I could only run so much, and then I'd get tired and, like, I can't run anymore. So that's when I actually started getting into biking, which most people that know me know that I love biking. And part of that, like, just getting into biking was for that. But then once I got into biking, I realized, oh, wow, I could bike to church on Sunday. And so I think that's just, like, a way that, like, God can use these, like, things, like sickness to really help us to, like, because I wasn't doing anything when it comes to going to Sunday Mass, although I was, like, trying to stop doing certain sins. But it's, like, if definitely, like, practicing the faith, I still wasn't practicing it until I got diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. And then, like, what came about from that was then, like, a more fully, like, okay, I'm going to now, like, start keeping the precepts of the church, which, like, that is the basics of just, like, going to Sunday Mass, going to confession at least once a year. I was definitely going more than that because I was, like, I want to stop committing these sins and, like, finding that I kept falling into it. And that was, yeah. But then I decided then through high school I was very much, I was getting more and more involved in my faith and just, like, helping out at the parish, like, with doing catechism classes, like, for the kids and just doing service at a soup kitchen at our parish. And then by my senior year, I was very much, like, my faith is the most important thing to me in my life. And really with that, I was looking at going to college. And so I was looking specifically at Catholic universities. That's what brought me here to [city]. So I went to [rich kids college]. And while there, I was first studying engineering. And I realized after one semester that that was not for me. The calculus was really getting to me. And they said there's a lot more coming. And I was like, I don't think this is something. That was the first where I was just kind of realizing, like, and this has been also a very consistent where it's like this in my own life of there's, like, so many things that you can do and just, like, needing to kind of actually choose one. Where it was like I was on the track team. I was doing a lot of faith-related things in engineering. And it's like it's just too much for someone to do, I think. And I found this just like, okay, well, I think I need to give up the engineering. And then I also decided not to do track anymore as well. And then through college, just focusing much more on faith-related things. And then business is what I switched to. And I started a business while I was in college related to biking. And I grew that business a lot. And it was like this bicycle taxi company rickshaw business. And that was something that I think it was a good business for me. And I enjoyed it. Made a good amount of money with it..."

August 7th, 2026 (Continued): “...But then through college, just realizing this growing, like, what I call a divided heart. Where it was like I was through college I was, like, running this business. Like, throughout it. I was still remaining faithful, going to church, like, trying to go. I already had the habit of going to daily mass most days in college. And then I was also dating on and off. Pretty much each year of college I dated, like, a girl for usually a number of months. But then my senior year, I started going to [Catholic Church], which is right nearby here. And they had a daily mass at 9 a.m. They still have that. And that worked well with my schedule because my business that I was running was a... I basically would work every weekend from, like, 10 p.m. until, like, 4 a.m. So my sleep schedule was, like, really bad. And for me to try to go to daily mass, a 7 a.m. mass was, like, not possible. They didn't have Friday evening masses at [rich kid’s college] at that time. And I had class at 12 o'clock, so it was something. So I started going to the Friday mass at [Catholic church] And Father [priest who wrote the postcard] is the pastor there. He's now our chaplain here, actually. But he was the pastor there at that time. And I would go to mass there every Friday. And, like, it was something that he noticed something in me that I didn't notice. And he invited me to help get started with different young adult… with the young adult group there at the parish. And then just being around the parish a lot more. And then through that, I just realized, like, his life. And just, like, how totally given he was to the Lord. Which that was something that I started to desire. It was, like, I was coming up with this dividedness in my heart where I was, like, trying to… Like, I wanted to give everything to God. But then it was, like, I could only give so much. And it's, like, the more I put towards my businesses, the more I, like, focus on relationships with women, the less I would focus on God. The more that I would focus on God, the more I would neglect the other things. And then just kind of this going back and forth. And it was a little time for me. And that's one of the scriptures that says, like, you cannot serve both God and mammon. You'll either love one and hate the other. And I was realizing that. Like, and then also just with... But I still, I think, it's really interesting to me. So, I mean, I, well, I started after seeing this example from Father [priest who wrote the postcard], I started discerning priesthood where I'm, like, you know, maybe God's calling me to something like this so that I can be undivided heart given totally to Him. And I think in my own life, I tend to be pretty quick to make decisions. I'm not the kind that's just, like, I think it's just, like, temperament-wise, like, definitely like a sanguine temperament. So, like, once I started being open about this and praying about it, it's like God was making clear. And I'm like, yeah, I think this is where He wants me to go. And I then went to the seminary the next year. And I think before that, I was attracted to religious life, but I wasn't open to it. And so I still had my businesses, which I was very much, like, attached to, where I was, like, I'm going to make a bunch of money with these businesses. And then the money, I'm going to support, like, inner-city mission work, which is something that I very much felt God was calling me to. And so I end up just kind of, like, settling with God, or I was like, okay, well, I'll at least discern a celibate vocation. And so I went to the seminary. And while there, just, like, God working on me a lot. And it was something that I remember this before going to the seminary. I lived at the [discernment house house, which is like a discernment house in [suburb] at [adoration] Parish. And I was living there, and Father [cool priest] was the director of the house at that time. And he would always, like, he'd have us do house chores. And he would always have me do the house chores that he knew that I hated. And I'm like, why are you doing this? Which house chores? Pulling weeds. That was my least favorite. He would always be like: ‘Cliffe, you're on weeds.’ And it's like, Father, come on, like. You complained about it a lot. What's that? You complained about it a lot. I complained about it a lot. And then I would always be on weeds. And I'm like, what is he doing? Like, there's all these other guys. Like, they're, like, cleaning toilets. They're, like, cleaning the kitchen. Like, whatever. The fun stuff…”
“Yeah, I know.” - Me
“It's like, I'm going to do something. Like, let me do that. And so it's interesting because, yeah, like, up to that point, like, and even, like, into the seminary, I didn't really have the concept of the cross. I don't know how I made it that far without the concept of the cross. So, like, the biggest thing was, so I was doing everything in the faith for myself. It was, like, I was just, like, I want to be a better person. Like, I'm just, like, trying to get ahead in my own life. And so it was still, like, a very self-centered faith. Like, I don't think I really had very sreal womang charity where I was, like, doing things for the good of others. It was, like, I was doing good things because they were good for me. Like, and I was living that way until, like, partway through seminary when I fell. So by the time I was there in seminary, I was already, I was free from, like, my addiction to pornography for about three years. But then at the seminary, I fell back into it. And that just started this, like, where I was, like, why did this happen? How did this happen? And I was doing a lot of reading and just, like, studying into things. And I read this book that was on asceticism. And I had no concept of that. Like, I was, up to this point, I was always, like, choosing the thing that was, like, that I thought was, like, the best for me. And so it was something that at the seminary, I found it very comfortable. I was on the fifth floor, had to go up a lot of stairs. But there was also an elevator. So I would take the elevator up to the fifth floor. Yeah, like, it's like, oh, I'm tired. I'm not going to, like, do this. I'm just going to take the elevator. They had a nice walk-in freezer cooler that they had all the food that was made before. And you could go in and have a second dinner if you wanted. And I would take advantage of that a lot. Nice, comfortable room, like, comfy chairs and beds and all sorts of stuff. And I read this book on asceticism. And I started realizing, it's like, wow, like, I've just been, like, giving in to all of these small, like, small desires that are more like fleshly desires still. But they're not, like, necessarily sinful in themselves. Like, it's not sinful to take the elevator to the fifth floor. It's not sinful to go for, like, a second dinner necessarily. But it's just constantly giving in to the desires of the flesh. Then the temptation comes up to go back to the ways of sin. And then I started, like, giving in to it. And so then that was something that was partway through the seminary that I fell back into this. And then I realized, like, this monk's need for asceticism. And then I was talking with one of my friends who was a convert to the Catholic faith. And he was an Orthodox priest monk. And when he became Catholic, he visited all these different monasteries. And I was telling him about, like, where I felt called. And he's like, hey, you should visit this monastery. And so I visited this Benedictine monastery that was just, like, in the center of the city down in Chicago. It's called Holy Cross Monastery. Great experience there. They prayed all 150 Psalms in, like, one week. And they, what's that? That's awesome. Yeah. And then they would do, like, I mean, I just see a ton of manual labor. I know they would make, like, caskets and, like, do art, different things. But just seeing that rhythm of prayer and work, prayer and work. And that really struck me. I started being like, wow. Like, this is, like, I could see that this is really some way, like, growing in holiness. By, like, committing to something like this. But one of the things very much feeling God calling me to was the work of evangelization. Like, going back to that first confession. Where it's, like, I knew that it's, like, this is something that so many people in the world were struggling with this. They felt stuck and alone. They didn't know like how to get over their sinfulness and feeling this very much call in my own life to go out and share the good news with people, help to bring people back into communion with Christ and his church. And then I talked with the prior of the monastery and was telling him like, I really feel called to this. And he's like, well, we're not really doing that here, but you might find some other community or something. And so then I kind of at least said this where it's like I started like, yeah, I think I need to like start discerning religious life and started looking for some more like communities that were a little bit more missionary focused, like and just realizing that. Yeah, I think a lot of the communities that I was like in conversation with that were more missionary focused, it seemed that they were maybe once more missionary and then they became a little bit more focused on social justice issues. Where it wasn't really as clear that they were doing direct evangelization, it was still good work as they were doing, but not what I felt called to..."

[POST SPLIT INTO MULTIPLE PARTS DUE TO CHARACTER LIMIT]

August 7th, 2026 (Continued): "...And so I mean, was going on these come and sees at different communities during the different breaks of my time at the seminary. But then I guess like, what was it? Basically, I was sharing with Father [priest who sent post card], who was my pastor before going to the seminary. I was sharing with him what I was feeling God calling me to. And he opened up the parish that I could come there and move into the rectory with him. And so then, but I guess before that, I think I missed a point. So one of the things that, the thing of being at the diocesan seminary, I was more sure that God was calling me to a celibate vocation, but not as yet like taking a vow of poverty for religious life, but in prayer while at the seminary, just very much like hearing God calling me and just like sharing, just like in prayer, hearing this, that God didn't care about what I could give him, but he wanted me. And after that, like, as I was like praying with that, just really, it's just like, yeah, it's like I could give him a lot with my businesses and stuff, but like, that's not what God wants. He wants me, like all of me. And so then I decided just to give away my businesses that I own, like, and I just gave them to someone that was basically, he was my competitor in business. So he was very surprised, just like, what are you doing? But that also gave witness to him, like of the gospel where he was a fallen away Catholic. And I was giving this business away to him. And then he actually then throughout the time of ministry earlier on, like he was always like, well, like, what can I do to help you guys? Like, how can I like pay this back? And it reminds me, like, that's very much like Psalm 116 is one of my favorite psalms. And it says, like, how can I repay the Lord for the goodness that he's given me? And I think that's how a lot of like our own, like when we realize how good God is, like how much good he does for us, how can I repay him? And so it was really funny, because this guy, like he wasn't practicing Catholic, but he's just like, how can I repay like for the good that been given? And he ended up like, over the course of the time, one of the parishes we were at, the parish only had a 9am Sunday mass. And the people from the neighborhood were not very good with like morning masses. So we would drive them out to like [Marian shrine to the northwest] to go to a 12 o'clock noon mass for the Basilica. And he had like a, like medical transport company as well that he ran. So he had like an ambulance, like he would literally take us to mass in an ambulance. Like, and then we would get out, and there'd be like 10 people pulling out of this ambulance going into the church. And like, it was great. It's a miracle. The field hospital. Yeah, like dropping us off at the field hospital of the church. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And so that was, what's that? He did not have a siren on, but he said he wouldn't put the sirens on. Yeah, you only do that in like real emergencies. But what's that? But yeah, so yeah, and then just like, so I started the missionaries at St. Rose of Lima Parish. Jerome's a parishioner there. Got to know [other guy there] real well while there. But yeah, so we started and it was just me and Father [priest who sent postcard]. And then actually Jeremiah’s cousin moved in with me shortly after. And others started coming. And then we were outgrowing our space. And so we, when we approached the archdiocese about becoming like a formally like recognized community, they recommended us find a house of our own somewhere. And so then we moved to another parish, convent building. And then started doing our work there, living community life, praying and stuff. And it was, yeah, that parish, like there was a lot of really good stuff going on. That's where the ambulance like came in. Like the parish was like, yeah, we're not having any other mass other than 9 a.m. But we had a lot of people from the neighborhood that were coming with us to like pray. Like it was, yeah, I mean, we had liturgy the hours in the church every day and we were opening it up to the public. And a lot of people from the neighborhood would come and they would pray with us. But then on Sunday, like just trying to bring them to mass and like they could not get up for 9 a.m. mass. And so, but that parish was a little bit of a difficult time for us. Not really a great fit. And a couple of the guys that were with us at that time, I think, got kind of discouraged and then left. And then basically it was, we were looking for where to go then after that. And the parishes on the north side of [city], where we were definitely feeling more called to be doing intercity mission work, weren't really open. But Father [priest who sent postcard] was still journeying with us and invited us to come to his parish, which was down on the south side now. And so we went to St. Anthony's and moved in with him there. And we're there at that parish for about a year. And Father [priest who sent postcard] was only there for a couple years. But he asked the archbishop to be sent down to the Dominican Republic because the archdiocese runs a parish there, because he'd be closer to his mother, who's very close to end of life and just having a lot of illness. So he wanted to be able to to go back home to Venezuela and visit with her more often. And so, yeah, we moved to the south side and we were there for about a year. And we had other people who wanted to join us after the new pastor came, but we weren't allowed to have anyone else move into the rectory. Yeah, Father [priest who sent postcard] and him agreed that we could continue living there. But I guess it was only we could continue living there. No one else was allowed to come. And so then it was like, oh man, well we had people that were interested in joining and we just didn't have anywhere for them. And so then it's kind of up where it's like, where should we end up? It seems like there's not really a parish in the area we want to be. And like, yes, you can still be here. And so, but that was definitely like a holy spirit moment, where there was a guy who owns both of these houses. His name's Joel. And he reached out to us about like, he reached out to us while we were at one of the parishes and wanted to start doing like a food cart-like thing and giving out food to the homeless. And so he came and like saw what we were doing with ministry and then we were seeing that the parishes that we were at at that time didn't want us to do the food cart by the parishes. And so we didn't really have anywhere to do that. And so nothing really came of it. But then once I knew that we were moving, I called Joel up and I said, ‘Hey, we're gonna be moving, like we're looking for a place now. I would love to have you come and do the food cart once we find a place.’ And then he was just like, oh, have you found a place yet? And I'm like, no, we're just looking to lease a building. And then he's like, well, like, you may not know this, but I own a company and own tons of real estate and have like 900 employees. Let me buy you guys a place. And then that's how this came about then. And so then, but yeah, at that point it was really interesting because it's like, Joel bought this place and it was literally like his house, but it was just me who moved here at first. So it was like everyone else kind of discerned out and just like, I don't think this is where God's calling me. And just, I was still very, God is calling me. I don't know like what he's doing here. But so I moved here and it was just me living here for like about five months until one other guy joined. And then after he joined, others started coming and Stephen came and then continued to grow. But I think that really taught me this is like two parts that I was talking about where just like, right here, not really knowing exactly what God is doing, trying to still figure it out, but still walking with Christ. And as right now we've been doing a lot of stuff, putting together like rule of life stuff, preparing for the formal recognition by the Archdiocese and just like getting things in proper place. And that was something that we were having trouble like kind of putting some of the stuff, like everyone's always wanting to know what's your charism, like what's the gift of the Holy Spirit's giving you for the building of the church. And we had like a general idea, but like not like for sure set in stone. And I was telling this guy this and he's like, wow, that takes a lot of faith, like to just like keep walking and not knowing where exactly you're going. And I think that's where right now at where it's just like, I know that God has called me, but still it's just like, where is this all going? But then just like continuing to walk with him and remain with him. And that's where I'm at now. And I think the Lord has been at work so much in all of this. But yeah, that's kind of my testimony.”

August 7th, 2026 (Continued): From some of the questions that were asked by the 10 people (including me) that were there, one was about the Catholic churches in the predominantly Black areas of the city which had congregations which were roughly 90% White or Asian in a 95% Black neighborhood. For the entire talk, I had the smoke blowing in my face and a few people smoking cigarettes or even Kohen who would smoke cigarettes and then throw them in the fire. For another testimony the guy told me he had two kids and then got divorced by his wife, he would game on his gaming desktop that would have a fuse blown and he assembled a toy dinosaur from a Taiwanese toy company for his son and it made him feel super proud. He worked on attending the basilica nearby and took OCIA classes and worked towards getting an annulment with his godless ex-wife (not his words, but mine) also his daughter is 3 years old. I walked to the bus stop with Cliffe and he asked if I could come to an ultimate frisbee tournament tomorrow from 9:00am to 12:00pm but I said I couldn’t. At 8:04pm my dad texted the family groupchat this picture and it started this conversation:

I took the bus home and when I got back I took a shower and then start the rosary again. At 10:41pm, I completed day 3 of the 54 day novena and I was crying due to being reminded of how all my worst fears constantly become true and that my life truly isn’t in my control and I don’t mean that Jesus took the wheel but that important opportunities in my life were in the hands of people who hate me and want me to suffer.

August 8th, 2026: The dance is today. I woke up at 7:00am with my alarm and got cereal with coffee to go with. I got on Mario Kart Wii and played a few more races online and got by VR up. I got dressed up a bit tropical and then took the bus down to where the transfer downtown was and then waited 15 minutes for my bus to arrive. I then got there around noon and walked over to the garden and found him at 12:09pm, he was sitting with his cousin and this goth girl. I introduced myself to his friend and she had black dyed hair with her natural blonde growing out, small hoops in her earlobes, and lots of tattoos. They met while canvassing for a Democratic politician in Enosh’s hometown of Stillwater, Minnesota (she’s from Shoreview, Minnesota) and she left instantly due to harsh requirements while Enosh stuck around until later. Enosh also told me that he would be going to Hungary in 10 days to teach English to students but he hardly knew Hungarian. Enosh’s goth friend complained about how many autistic friends who fell into “right-wing propaganda” and how she was canvassing in 2022. I had to hide my powerlevel in spite of her kvetching. I noticed that Enosh’s goth friend had a tattoo which said 2002 on her right leg. I took the same bus home that Enosh and his goth friend were taking and on the bus we actually talked. Enosh’s mom’s side cousin and her husband have the kid I met in 2024. On the bus ride, Enosh discussed his priest getting the baptism wrong during his baptism and swearing multiple times during it, Enosh cried and the priest said:
“Well, guess the Devil’s already got that one.”
They were surprisingly positive towards the church despite how liberal they were. I got off at the stop Enosh and his friend got off at for this Goth Market event. I waited 15 minutes for my next bus and took it home. I had lunch which was the last of the ground beef and rice plus a root beer to go with it. I got my outfit changed to my white button-up plus my overpriced polyester eton jacket and my blue tie with pink flamingoes. I took a shot of Amaretto and then realized I would need to pay to get in so I went to the nearest convenience store and paid for a Faygo cola can which cost $1.30 with a $20 bill and drank it while walking to the bus stop. I got on the bus at 5:15pm and threw away the can as I took it all the way down to this park so I could make my second transfer. I ended up at my stop at 6:05pm and then made a long walk around some streets and into this very nice park, hearing some rap play on one of the Black teens' phones. At 6:20pm the girl I invited to the dance wrote to me:

<I'm sorry for the late notice but I won't be able to make it.
I replied back
>Wait why?
I walked back and then waited outside the parking lot, I checked Instagram and the girl just ghosted me, blocked on everything. Gerrardo got out of work at 7:03am and he had 2 styrofoam cups of ice, one for me and one for him because his car’s AC doesn’t work. He drove me over and I talked about getting ghosted as Gerrardo told me how he used to be an Independent Fundamental Baptist who hated Catholics but converted in 2024, he had a fiery discussion with Stephen Lee Anderson online about him converting and a guy 2 years younger said to Gerrardo:
“You’re just doing it for attention.”
Which he rejected. Gerrardo was in his work uniform and he got a text from his date which made him say:
“Oh my goodness this girl is so obsessed with me.”
Reminder that his father is from Mexico. He dropped me off at 7:27pm and I entered behind Salignac and 4 other people. The dance was downstairs in this room that looked like a high school more than an actual church building, there were others there like Karleusa and Adam I. I first danced with this woman from Franklin, Wisconsin and I was a bit awkward. I saw this fat girl I recognized from the last dance whom I will be calling Catherine of Siena, she was from Chicago and was always a bit awkward, kinda tall. I saw fLeJean and Salignac dancing a bit but as I dragged Catherine of Siena onto the dancefloor, it turned into a line dance tutorial so I was moved around to other women. I danced with a few other women like this woman from the city of Bristol in England. I noticed Karleusa and Salignac were talking a lot and I wrote in my notes app:

>Ask for her number already
But I had no opportunity to show it to Karleusa. I ended up dancing with Catherine of Siena a second time but this time it was a Greek circle dance and she told me about this Greek Orthodox guy she used to date who was toxic towards her, she said Russian Orthodox people are the nicest and Greek Orthodox people are the meanest. We ended up dancing again and I learned more stuff about her as we stood to the side and talked, like her pareal woman saint being Saint Catherine of Siena, she has 5 siblings but she’s the only practicing Catholic, and she’s from a suburb in Lake County north of Chicago and she works on a farm, she also turns 21 in March. While we were talking, Catherine of Siena said to me:
“I have a really hard time saying no to people.” Which I regret not taking the warning seriously. Here’s the song list:
1786333476628.jpeg 1786333476768.jpeg
I eventually worked up the courage to ask for her Instagram and then phone number. I danced with Abscond and she told me that there were plenty of weird guys here at the dance but only 1 or 2 asked her out. Abscond also told me that I could Dorothy came a bit late and I danced with her, she called me young and I replied by saying:
“22 is young!”
Dorothy said she was 27 and asked me if I was going to do the gun certification training. I said yes. Near the end of the dance I got to show my note to Karelusa and then danced with Salignac who told me she went to the ultimate frisbee tournament and that her brother Cognac was an old roommate of Cliffe’s before he got the house . I eventually got out at 10:00pm and saw Sobieski saying that he wanted to get this girl’s number. I said bye to Catherine of Siena and her friend as they were walking out. Gerrardo picked me up at 10:10pm and drove me home, he also invited me to the state fair next Tuesday at 2:00pm as he would be doing a ride-along tomorrow with some Waukesha police for something not related to being a police officer. I got dropped off at home and I completed day 4 of the 54 day rosary novena at 11:27pm after taking a shower.
