It's old news but somehow I've just heard that SatAM was put back on live television thanks to MeTV Toons purchasing the broadcasting rights and WildBrain supplying the footage. From what I can gather, the footage given are Betacam tapes upscaled with AI. I couldn't find a 1080p rip of the broadcast anywhere, so I've trimmed/cropped this from a larger 16:9 720p reupload that was graciously reuploaded onto YouTube. In comparison with the masters and existing AI upscale projects, it's very clean in motion. If you slow down the footage and gawk it gets a tad muddy.

Side-note but I should really rewatch SatAM again soon, great little series with a staggeringly extensive and rich online history - that in hindsight I've spent far too many hours delving into a few summers back.

A couple of days ago a PC port of Sonic Dream Team dropped. Essentially just takes the Unity files, replaces some of the Mac plumbing with Windows/Android plumbing and translates the Metal API calls to DirectX/Vulkan/whatever the fuck Android uses. Decent port, but has poor support for the Steam Controller (treated it like a mouse for some reason), had to switch to my DualSense to get proper controller support.
Normally you have to feed a copy of the Mac OS X version of the game, but I have a complete version of the game zipped up: SwissTransfer - Send large files securely and free of charge (https://www.swisstransfer.com/dl/01a18a8b-c328-7305-8d99-aa8679a00aa7) (expires in 15 days)

holy moly

seriously though Dream Team was the one game real sonic fans were hyped up for (that weren't tourists from frontiers) and said hype immediately dropped once it was revealed to be Apple Arcade exclusive. only SEGA manages to fuck up that badly. i ponder how different Sonic would've been if SEGA ack'd when 06/Boom shat the bed and some other company took over, but it'd probably turn into generic AAA real womanslop or a dead franchise the company would sit on and do nothing with.

It's not a perfect game but I can confidently say I had more fun with Dream Team than I did with Frontiers. It's honestly such a waste a half-decent Sonic game gets locked on the most SNCA subscription service of all time while all we get are a bunch of gay comics on the Western side and garbage phone live services
