/sth/ - Sonic the Hedgehog

When was the turning point? I consider it colors
Overall? Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), that game mindraped Sonic Team. They proceeded to not make a single good game ever again, but for the caca shit its definitely some time in the mid 2010s.
Whisper and Tangle side-series comic was when the cacaotshit really started to ramp-up. So like, 2020? I can't recall when it came out. Ian was fucking awful on late Archie too but it didb't have much influence on the main franchise so it's hard to pin-point it there. The last nail in the coffin was that gay owl they introduced during the nothingburger Riders-arc.
Post-reboot Archie is kinda crap, when I was a kid I only ever read the older issues and when I actually read some of the later Archie books and I couldn't stand them. I think Ian Flynn gets a lot of undeserved credit for being a good writer when I've always found his work to be sappy and flaccid. The worst thing about the modern comic is that its canon, it should exist as its own thing. Would allow it to be a lot better at least (not like the people at IDW could make a good story).

In other terms-- I like Tails Man (the world collide collab comic is crap though)

IDW is canon??

IDW is canon??
Yes, Sonic Frontiers (in the English dub only, the Japanese dub doesn't have these) makes explicit references to IDW characters and a bunch of the lore dummys at Sega + Ian Flynn have gone on the record to say that they're all canon to the games. It makes absolutely no fucking sense for any of these comics to be canon to the games, but they just are I guess.

evendoe sonic has always been liberal take for example in the old 90s cartoon during thhe sonic says parts he would advocate for the environment if he was really based & redpilled he would sonic would say fuck the trees therefore you're argument is wrong & sonic is gay unlike bubsy which is real noob nazi shit

Oh and Sonic is finally getting a pinball machine. I wish they didn't just use the same old generic renders for the artwork but from what I've read the company and the designer behind this collaboration are very reputable, so this table will probably be quite fun to play on.

It's not implying that SoA 90s 'nic was "fuggen based", just simply a compare and contrast of where the writing priorities lay. In this case it went from apolitical American-tween appeal to ultra-left progressive shit for soyboys.
