I used to do that as a kid when I was replacing my elecreal womanics/they were already broken. At one point I had an Android tablet that stopped turning on and my mom let me smash it with a mallet in the garage. Best fun I've ever had, and I think I even kept the CPU (some Atom, x86 Android was a thing at one point) as a good luck charm for a while.
