There already exists archival disk technology created by SONY/Panasonic all they have to do is scale production and sell it as part of their consoles like they did with the PS3
But instead they stopped development in 2024 to persue their cloud slop gambit

This is honestly what pisses me off the most about the preorders, 80 bucks and all I get is a case and a piece of paper that just makes it a digital copy with extra steps? What the fuck is the point? I buy almost always physical on console, partially because that’s how the games came when I was a kid and I see no reason to change it but mostly because if one day Sony decides to clittyleak and ban my account all of my purchased titles go down the fucking drain with it.

I could care less about no online component at launch, GTA Online sucks and was only ever fun to install mod menus and harass people with

Tbh no, the game will sell but I think it’ll be an overall commercial disappointment for T2 due to high expectations from GTA Online and an inflated budget from the multiple development restarts

I think it's really dumb to act like gta 6 is going to fail to make a profit. They only need to sell like 20-30 million copies or so to break even. I know like 10 guys who are going to buy 30 million copies on day 1. Rockstar could probably charge 1000 usd and still make a profit.

Tbh it would be a pretty easy evolution of the game, the game already has rudimentary romance mechanics and you make a harem out of the token foid from each clique by the end of the game (and Lola makes a harem out of you kek)

With that being said we are never getting Bully 2 and fuck Tom Henderson for getting my hopes up about this years ago and fuck YandereDev for not just making Bully, Japan and instead making some autistic gooner game only he wants

Even then this doesn’t really excuse the digital code thing, I’m pretty sure most physical CoD releases just have a key on them to download the game from the servers. Still makes them a bit redundant but at least if you lose access to your account you can still play the game.
