I think I saw in the comments of one of these guys videos that most gnostics just wish they become the demiurge as revenge for their perceived unjust existence.
Whenever I encounter modern gnostics online, I'm reminded of the ancient critique levied against them by Plotinius (himself a pagan neo platonist). He basically accused them of using convoluted metaphysics as a vehicle for their immense pride, using it to justify their own, self perceived superiority.
