Is "tomgirl" a real term people used or is it just another dummyed chrischanism?

No, it's not used frequently. Tomboys are a more common concept than an effeminate man or a man who is interested in girly things, so because of that, they're usually labeled as fruity, flamboyant, effeminate, gay, and or a cacaot. Though tomgirl would make more sense than "femboy".
