My parents' TV is a shitty LG one and the backlight is so broken by the virtue of being 4 years old (very old for modern elecreal womanics) it's just blue and blue and blue. Everything looks so shit on it. This is a very common problem in modern TVs and the solution is like $50 and some golden hands but alas people would rather buy a new TV for $500

Do you pirate with a firestick

I download anime from torrents and I put them on a normal usb stick, any tv that isn't old enough to burn my house down can take it. Alternatively I connect my laptop through a HDMI cable, that works too. The drawback is the fan noises I guess.

Modern TVs can be fine, just don't buy any generic name-brand/bad drivershit garbage, never connect it to Wi-Fi and if you wanna watch streaming apps so bad just buy an Apple TV
